MERCHANDISING DATA ANALYST

Main duties:
The Merchandising Data Analyst will contribute to the Merchandising Office acceleration strategy by providing a detailed analysis of our business in defining and executing merchandising strategies and procedures for developing layouts and plans for the sales area.

The Role:
-To provide a range of reporting services and predictive analyses by collecting and interpreting data;
-To develop marketing plans that meet the sales, margin and profit targets established by the company;
-To create ad-hoc reporting and also standardise a set of dashboards and executive level report cards based on senior leadership requirements;
-To assist with daily data maintenance through our platforms and to identify data gaps, develop systemic solutions to these gaps, and update data accordingly to assist in the flow of orders;
-To analyze risks and opportunities of the inventory to identify trends, and monitor the timing and scope of seasonal changes;
-To implement inventory allocations in order to improve cash flow and raise margins for profits;
-To design system reports needed to support and develop data analysis and to create data queries and customised reports as needed;
-To find, collect and interpret data in preparation for analytical reports for the Merchandising team and support in the assigned projects, including but not limited to standard metrics reports, account reviews and case study reports;
-To lead the reporting maintenance, development, and updating process and communicates to appropriate operational teams;
-To perform QA of the data, and establish a summary of key findings based on trends and comparison to other metrics;
-To liaise with Buying & Merchandising Director, Merchandising Managers and Buyer Managers on strategic planning for improving upon and developing new processes, reports, and procedures;
-To serve as a technical and problem-resolution expert, manage the resolution of complex reporting issues, and recommends permanent corrective measures.

Profilo

The Candidate:
-Fluent in Italian (written and spoken) is essential;
-Fluent level of English (written and spoken) is essential;

-analytics in a high-data environment as well as Expertise using the analytical tool (es. Business Objects)
-Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Access; strong skills with PowerPoint and Outlook;
-Proven experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams, including demonstrated success in managing without direct authority;
-Passion for business reporting, analysis, and working with large amounts of data with demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision-making;
-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding of statistical standards, methodologies (regression analysis etc.);
-Expected to be an enthusiastic, outgoing, driven and motivated individual who can work as part of a cross-functional team;
-Professional appearance;
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks without compromising service or Quality;
-Ethical, fair and professional conduct in all stakeholders and peer interactions;
