Reporting to the CEO and with the desire to work in a dynamic, entreprenurial environment and make a real difference, the ideal candidate, combining up-to-the-minute fashion expertise with market insight and in-depth analysis, must maximise both local and online sales via effective product and stock management.
•Lead the buying team with proactive product sourcing, developing and executing a strategy for new brand acquistitions and identifiying opportunities for growth with existing partners
•Regulary review brand and category performance, compiling reports identifying bestsellers and slow-selling/under-performing lines and taking action to maximise seasonal results
•Undertake in-season tactical actions to ensure department hits KPI’s before and after sales
•Develop existing and new relationships with suppliers and key industry stakeholders, creating and consolidating opportunities for growth and marketing support
•Support visual merchandising, monitoring the site to ensure products are presented in the best way possible, reporting any inaccuracies in price or information
•Present seasonal delivery forecasts to the commercial and marketing team
•Act as a brand ambassador, representing and notiating for the company at key appointments, shows and trade fairs
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity and strategy
- Degree educated, preferably in Business and/or Economics
- Results driven and motivated by objectives and KPI's
- Minium of 3 years experience as a buyer, ideally within an online multibrand environment
- A creative yet analytical approach to buying, with the ability to think outside the box
- Numerate with strong analytical skills
- A flexible approach, with the ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Proactive and able to work under pressure and to stringent deadlines
