On behalf of an important fashion firm, we are now looking for:

Area Manager Wholesale Menswear - Worldwide

The Area Manager Wholesale, reporting to Menswear Business Development Manager, manages international wholesale major multi brand store accounts through a combination of showroom sales, financial analysis, product knowledge and communication with creative, financial, logistic and planning teams.  The position requires teamwork and relationship building both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts for each major store;
 
  • Analyze business by style and by door for each account;
 
  • Suggest strategies to maximize sales growth and reduce inventory liability;
 
  • Work directly with the buying and planning teams for each major department store to review seasonal sales and receipt plans, as well as profitability by month to maintain a healthy business;
 
  • Work with accounts in the showroom, present the collection, help build assortments that best represent the brand and the customer who shops the store;
 
  • Monitor order entry for each account;
 
  • Organize events and represent the core values of our brand and communicate the brand goals and initiatives effectively both internally and externally;
 
  • Seasonal Collection Training to the accounts in their location/stores
 
  • Partner with internal departments, i.e. wholesale, creative, production, retail and PR to establish strong working relationships and effective communication;
 
  • Frequent prospect trips to grow business and distribution.
 
Qualifications and soft skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with a menswear luxury goods company;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of the international markets and accounts;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Solid understanding of retail math including mark-up, sell-through, OTB and gross margin;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions and formulas.
 
Proficient English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
